Hi Dr. Lynda, we have noticed this bug after you brought it to our attention! Thank you very much for raising it. We have released a fix for this and it has been live for a few days, I just forgot to reply to your request until now!
Just note that at the bottom the the step selector on the import, it will highlight the cases where the membership status overwrites the steps in some cases when the lead is considered already a customer.
